 Create a Website
• To successfully develop a website you will need to:
- choose a subject matter of interest to you that is appropriate and
professional
- make a plan on what your webpage will include (have a goal, a plan,
and an outline of what important information you wish to highlight)
- gather the knowledge and information you require (use references if
applicable)
- choose the layout and format to make it visually appealing

• A big part of creating a good website is trying to get in the mindset of
what users will find easy and intuitive.
• You will share your website with a partner/group and provide feedback to
each other to better understand what makes websites well designed for
users.
• In-Class Group Activity
 Assignment
• Choose which type of website you wish to create
• Choose a Template
• Change the background and make it unique.
• Add a drop down menu with 3 links.
• Include: 2 headings, an interactive element, a decorative element, and embed a video or
music. Use the toolbar to creatively use different fonts, colors, etc…
• Preview the website, once satisfied, publish it and attach the link in the assignment drop
box.
