Delegation
 It is defined as a process by which a
manager assigns and transfers
duties, authority, and responsibility
to his or her subordinates
 Delegation is empowering others to
get the job done.
 The delegated task must satisfy the
following SMARTER indicators

o Delegation requires communication
between two individuals. A manager
should give a clear instructions to his or
her employee in a language or form
that the latter could fully understand.

o A manager must ensure that he or she
clearly explains to the employee any
quantitative and qualitative features or
indicators that are expected of the
delegated task or output.

o A manager delegating the task must
specify the time and date for it to be
completed. The amount of time must
be reasonable enough for the task to
be accomplished in the desired way of
the manager.
