● The Coinbase website offers educational content to help individuals understand and learn
about cryptos.
Is this fair/morally correct?
●Yes… why?
●Its main goal is to provide safe, fair and equal transactions for everyone.
●In the past it was just white males on Wall Street with access to the best brokers.
●Coinbase wants the crypto space to start off inclusive for everyone.
●This is why they don’t have any diversity and inclusion practices in place.
●Have only been a publicly traded company for six months.
As of 2022
● All Publicly Traded Companies will need to file Diversity and Inclusion
Initiatives in the yearly financial reports.
○ Will regulating bodies allow Coinbase’s mission to be enough to meet its
diversity and inclusion requirements?
● I think Coinbase will have to up its diversity initiative in order to meet these
requirements.
● Is this good for the company?
● Yes because Coinbase will allocate more of its time, efforts and funds to great
causes.
● No because it goes directly against its mission statement.
