Bosco, Italy, Age 14
✣Of Italian decent
✣Was born to a Devout Family
✣Studied under St. John Bosco to become a
Priest

✣Became an altar server
✣Would go to confession often
✣Frequently goes to church to pray regardless of
conditions
✣The day he received his first communion he
wrote four Promises
A. I will go to Confession often, and as frequently to
Holy Communion as my confessor allows.
B. I wish to sanctify the Sundays and festivals in a
special manner.
C. My friends shall be Jesus and Mary.
D. Death rather than sin.

St. Dominic Savio
✣At his deathbed, he requested to have a confession and
he was given the Anointing of the Sick.
✣He requested his Father to read him prayers for the
Exercise of a Happy Death; a practice encouraged by
St. John Bosco.
✣He passed afterwards after saying to his Father
“Goodbye, Dad, goodbye ... Oh what wonderful things I see!”
