LEARNING
 Learning can be defined as the permanent change in behavior due to direct and
indirect experience.
NATURE OF LEARNING
 Nature of learning means the characteristic features of
learning. Learning involves change; it may or may not
guarantee improvement. It should be permanent in nature,
that is learning is for lifelong.
FACTORS AFFECTING LEARNING
 MOTIVATION
 PRACTICE
 ENVIRONMENT
 MENTAL GROUP
3 TYPES OF LEARNING IN OB
 CLASSICAL CONDITIONING
 Classical conditioning is a type of learning that happens
unconsciously. When you learn through classical
conditioning, an automatic conditioned response is paired
with a specific stimulus. This creates a behavior.
 OPERANT CONDITIONING
 sometimes referred to as instrumental conditioning, is a
method of learning that employs rewards and punishments
for behavior. Through operant conditioning, an association is
made between a behavior and a consequence (whether
negative or positive) for that behavior.
 OBSERVATIONAL LEARNING
 describes the process of learning by watching others, retaining the
information, and then later replicating the behaviors that were
observed.
PERCEPTION
 is an intellectual process of transforming sensory stimuli to
meaningful information. It is the process of interpreting something
that we see or hear in our mind and use it later to judge and give a
verdict on a situation, person, group etc.
IMPORTANCE OF PERCEPTION
 Understanding the tasks to be performed.
 Understanding associated importance of tasks allotted.
 Understanding preferred behavior to complete respective tasks.
 Clarifying role perceptions.
ATTITUDE
 refers to a set of emotions, beliefs, and behaviors toward a particular
object, person, thing, or event. Attitudes are often the result of
experience or upbringing, and they can have a powerful influence
over behavior.
3 COMPONENTS OF ATTITIUDE
 Cognitive component
 The opinion or belief segment of an attitude.
 Affective component
 The emotional or feeling segment of an attitude.
 Behavioral component
 An intention to behave in a certain way toward someone or something.
IMPORTANCE OF ATTITUDE
 Employees with a positive attitude will create a healthy atmosphere
in the organization, develop positive relations with sub-ordinates,
their supervisors, managers and top management. A positive attitude
has significant benefits for an individual in many aspects.
VALUES
IMPORTNACE OF VALUES
 Values are important because they guide our beliefs, attitudes, and
behavior. Recognizing, understanding, and staying loyal to your
values is therefore one of the most important efforts any human
being can take, and is equally as important when it comes to the
workplace.
ETHICS
 Ethics in the workplace is defined as the moral code that guides the
behavior of employees with respect to what is right and wrong in
regard to conduct and decision making. ... Furthermore, ethical
behavior doesn't only apply to individual employees, the
organization itself should exemplify standards of ethical conduct.
