DIGITAL ART -

 Digital art definitely made a great impact on our daily lives, without it, our daily
lives would’ve been harder.
 Digital art such as 3D virtual reality (VR) or computer graphic techniques has
become mediums that are now enabling artists to revolutionize traditional art
forms.
 It is essentially a new tool that will serve a variety of artistic needs to push the
barriers of creation and imagination.
 Enjoy the fan-art by Draweezy! Oh yeah, don’t read these out loud, ito lang yung presence ko kasi 2 nd dose ko hehe, I’m gonna be leaving
these notes here. Imagine nyo nalang na nasa meet ako - Christian
Digital Technology -

 Without the technology of today, digital art would’ve been possible. With science
and the knowledge of technology, we created different types of entertainment.
 Well-known examples include social media, online games, multimedia, and
mobile phones.
 Digital technologies are electronic tools, systems, devices, and resources that
generate store, or process data.
 Digital learning is any type of learning that uses technology. It can happen across
all curriculum learning areas.

How did technology
affect art?
HERE IS OUR ANSWER!
HELL YEAH - CHRISTIAN
 How does Digital Technology affect Art?
 The impact of digital has transformed human expression as painting, drawing, and
sculpture, but also music poetry.
 It revolutionized traditional artforms
 Technology helps broaden the horizons of an artist’s creativity while also limiting
the problems that they may encounter. It makes the production of art a lot less
demanding, and as a result, the artist now has more time to contemplate and
expand their creativity.
 In art and artists, it influenced the way they created and appreciated their art.

Technology-based Art

 What is the Technology-Based Art?

 Technology-Based Arts (TBA) are computer-generated or manipulated visual arts. Modern digital artists employ the
ever-expanding powers of image manipulation programs and applications to create their masterpieces which can
appear in an entire range of media – whether as physical output or virtual experience.
 Types of Digital Arts:
 Fractal/Algorithmic Art.
 Data-Moshing.
 Dynamic Painting.
 2D Computer Graphics.
 3D Computer Graphics.
 Pixel Art.
 Digital Photography.
 Photo-painting.

DIGITAL ART TOOLS

 Digital Art Tools

The first use of the term digital art was in the early 1980s when computer
engineers devised a paint program which was used by the pioneering digital artist
Harold Cohen. This became known as AARON, a robotic machine designed to
make large drawings on sheets of paper placed on the floor.
 Digital art can be computer generated, scanned or drawn using a tablet and a
mouse. In the 1990s, thanks to improvements in digital technology, it was possible
to download video onto computers, allowing artists to manipulate the images they
had filmed with a video camera. This gave artists a creative freedom never
experienced before with film, allowing them to cut and paste within moving
images to create visual collages.
Hardware -

 The computer's central processing unit (CPU) is the portion of a computer that retrieves and executes
instructions. The CPU is essentially the brain of a CAD system. It consists of an arithmetic and logic unit
(ALU), a control unit, and various registers. The CPU is often simply referred to as the processor.
 Monitor is an output device that display the result of process data to the user in electronic form they display
information in pictorial form, video, sound, text.
 Printing is the process of making images that can be transferred onto other surfaces. It can be used to make
one or more identical images or to create repeating patterns on papers and textiles. Art and Design.
 Giclee is a French term meaning “to spray”, referring to how an inkjet printer works and how giclee prints
are usually produced. These large format inkjet printers use small spraying devices that can both match
color and apply ink precisely, giving artists a high-quality print of their original art.
 What Can 3D Printers Make? Designers use 3D printers to quickly create product models and prototypes,
but they're increasingly being used to make final products, as well. Among the items made with 3D printers
are shoe designs, furniture, wax castings for making jewelry, tools, tripods, gift and novelty items, and toys.

Software

 Software is a program that enables a computer to perform a specific task, as

opposed to the physical components of the system (hardware). ... Computer
software has to be "loaded" into the computer's storage (such as a hard drive,
memory, or RAM). Once the software is loaded, the computer is able to execute
the software.

Cellular Phones

 Cellular Phone. Analog or digital communications device in which the user has a
wireless connection from a telephone to a nearby transmitter. It is termed cellular
because the service area is divided into multiple "cells." As the user moves from
one cell area to another, the call is transferred to the local transmitter
 Main Differences Between Cellphone and Smartphone
 Cellphones are devices used to make calls, send messages, and play games.
Whereas, smartphones are made for much more than making calls, sending
messages and playing games. ... Cellphones have a physical keyboard while
smartphones have a virtual touchscreen keyboard.
 Both can be used for digital art.

DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY

 Digital photography is a process that uses an electronic device called a digital camera to
capture an image. Instead of film, it uses an electronic digital sensor to translate light into
electrical signals. In the camera, the signals are stored as tiny bits of data in bitmaps, tiny
bits of data that form the image.
 A digital camera is a hardware device that takes photographs and stores the image as data
on a memory card. Unlike an analog camera, which exposes film
 Digital photography uses cameras containing arrays of electronic photodetectors to produce
images focused by a lens, as opposed to an exposure on photographic film.
 chemicals to light, a digital camera uses digital optical components to register the intensity
and color of light, and converts it into pixel data.
 Camera obscura (meaning “dark room” in Latin) is a box-shaped device used as an aid for
drawing or entertainment. Also referred to as a pinhole image, it lets light in through a
small opening on one side and projects a reversed and inverted image on the other
Digital Camera

 A film or digital camera in which the focus and exposure is entirely automatic.
You aim and press the button; the camera does the rest. Point-and-shoot cameras
can range from cheap throw-aways to pocket-sized digitals.
 DSLR (digital single-lens reflex) camera differs from a point-and-shoot model in
terms of image quality, performance speeds, size, and price. Generally, DSLR
cameras produce better photos, allow for more creativity, and offer more speed
and features than point-and-shoots, but DSLRs cost more and require more
skill.Sep 13, 2021
 A digital camera is a camera that captures photographs in digital memory. Most
cameras produced today are digital, largely replacing those that capture images
on photographic film.
Internet memes

 Merriam-Webster defines “meme” as “an idea, behavior, style, or usage

that spreads from person to person within a culture” or “an amusing or interesting
item (such as a captioned picture or video) or genre of items that is spread widely
online especially through social media.” That definition hasn't been around
forever—it hasn't even been around for five years. The dictionary editors
officially added the entry along with “emoji” and “clickbait” to the formal
dictionary in May 2015.
 An Image Macro is a broad term used to describe captioned images that typically
consist of a picture and a witty message or a catchphrase.
