• Mainly concerned with the engineering behavior of earth
materials.

mechanics and rock mechanics, and has applications in the
fields of geology, geophysics, hydrology, and other related
sciences.

• Mainly concerned with the collection and management of
water.
• Hydraulic engineering is concerned with the flow and
conveyance of fluids, principally water.

• Mainly concerned with municipal
infrastructure . In painting streets ,
sidewalks water supply networks , source ,
street lighting , solid waste management
and other public works.

• It deals with treatment of chemical
biological, ecology, geology, hydraulics,
hydrology, microbiology, and mathematics
to create solutions that will protect and also
improve the health of living organisms and
