UNIT 1a

• 1. Present Simple:
form:
In Affirmative in [he,she,it] we put in the end -s
I walk to school. He eats pizza
In Negative we put do/does and the verb with no -s [in he/she/it]
I don’t play hockey.
In Question we put first Do/Does after [I/you/he.. and then the verb with no -s [in he/she/it]
Do I play? Does it fly?
USES
We use Present Simple to talk about:
1)habits Time expressions: every day,in the morning
2)permaments at night,at the weekend,on Monday, in the winter,
3)general truths once/twice/three times a week
UNIT 1b

• Present Continuous:
Form
In Affirmative we put the face and am/is/are after the verb with -ing I am studying She is doing
ballet
In Negative we put the face and am/is/are with not and then the verb with -ing He isn’t playing
football I’m not playing video games.
In Question we put first am/is/are then the face and after the verb with ing Is it flying? Am I
seeing?
USES
We use Present Continuous to talk about:
1.something to happen now. Time expressions: now,right now, at the moment
2.Για κάτι που γίνεται για λίγο tonight,today,these days, this week.

• Present Perfect Simple Uses


• We use the Present perfect Simple to talk about:
• 1.μια πράξη που συνέβη στο παρελθόν.Δεν
αναφέρουμε πότε ακριβώς συνέβη γιατί δεν το
γνωρίζουμε ή γιατί δεν είναι σημαντικό.Σε αντίθεση με
τον Past Simple που ξέρουμε πότε συνέβη.
• 2.μια πράξη που έγινε στο παρελθόν και επηρεάζει το
παρόν.
• 3.Εμπειρίες,πράγματα που έχουμε ή δεν έχουμε κάνει στη ζωή μας.
