The first virus was proposed in a study conducted by scientist John von
Neumann in 1966 after he explained how computers could eventually mirror

The term extranet was first used in the late 1990s. In this way, it aims to
give authorized employees of a company access to some documents through
networks with different industries and companies. The term was coined by
former Netscape Communications Corporation CEO Jim Barksdale and co-
founder Mark Andreesen.

Extranets are organization's private network and are only available to
selected users. This is a secure and controlled way to connect with third
parties such as vendors, customers and partners.
