Statement of the Problem:

 To investigate the uptake of copper, zinc, lead, cadmium and

chromium by umbrella plant (Cyperus alternifolius) and
Guppy fish (Poecilia reticulate) in a mini-constructed
wetland (mCW), set-up and experimented in Butuanon River.

Specifically,
1. Design and build a mini-constructed wetland (mCW) to
contain the umbrella plant and guppy fish.

2. Measure the amount of zinc, copper, lead, cadmium,

chromium before and after introduction of the plant and
guppy fish in the constructed wetland based on:
a. Sediments- Kim
b. Plant - Joshua
c. Water - Caryl
d. Fish - Denzyl

3. Correlate metal concentrations in

a. Plant and water
b. Plant and sediment
c. Fish and water
d. Fish and sediment

4. Calculate the uptake of copper, zinc, lead, cadmium,

and chromium in the plant and the fish.
