•INTRODUCTION
•With a population of over 1.8 million, Noida is one of the largest planned industrial townships of
Asia surrounded by greenery; it has the fastest growing GDP in Delhi-NCR.

•There are plans to make Noida a popular tourist destination by reinventing forgotten monuments and
religious places in Gautam Buddha Nagar. Noida will also have Noida Leisure Park, Sector 117, near
•Greater Noida & Noida Haat, Sector 33, Noida for leisure activities.

•Noida Haat would be created on a pattern similar to Dilli Haat but it would be a modern haat.

•The allotment of space to artisans and sellers would also be for a fortnight. Shops would be allotted

The Noida Haat is a dipartite venture between The Noida Authority and The Uttar
Pradesh tourism department.

•To be built on the lines of Dilli Haat in New Delhi, Shilp Haat will be a one-stop venue for artisans

from across the country to display, exhibit and sell their products.  The Noida Haat had been estimated to cost about Rs 80 crores.
•Spread over 25,000 sqm, Noida Haat will host art exhibitions and stalls of craftsmen from different
states and SAARC countries.  The Haat has been allotted a 10-acre plot in the Sector 33A of Noida adjoining
Shiv Dayal Public School.

 The idea behind creating Noida Haat is to create a cultural space in Noida.

 The proposed haat is situated in Noida's upscale commercial Sector-33A.  The Haat will also provide the requisite boost to tourism besides being a
revenue generator.
 The proposed site is situated along the shivalik marg running between th the proposed site and the
