The Fast Loop Concept

•The solution for:

•Limitations on optical fibre cable lenghts

•Applications, where shorter or longer path is required

•Better access and user freindly maintenance

•Applications with low temperature and high moisture

•For Explosion Proof applications

Details

•The Fast Loop should be designed to maintain a gas velocity of 5-15

m/s

•The material of pipes and tubing should be equivalent to the stack

or duct material.

•Insulation , ~50-100 mm of all parts is required.

•For applications with low temperature and high moisture content,

additional heating of the fast loop cell as well as sample tubing may
be necessary

•Purge air flow ( instrument air) of 5-15 litre/minute and side is

required . Rotameters should be used for controlling the flow.

•By installing an electrically controlled 3-way valve prior to the fast

loop cell, automatic calibrations can be made in a cost effective way
( only an additional calibration cell is required , plus the valve box for
the cylinder gases).
Sample location

• Install after 2-3 diameters of

straight flow ( if possible)
• Let the sample pipe go
Inlet minimum 300 mm in to the
(after fan)
duct ( to avoid sampling dust
and condense from duct walls)
300 mm
(or tube)
Sample tube
Diameter 2”

•Sample line lengths up to 100 metre is

possible
50-100 mm insulation
•Heating may be required for
applications with low temperature and
high moisture ( application where gas
temperature is close to the dew point)

•Material should be equivalent to the

stack/duct material, or any material
suitable and accepted by user.

•Insulation 50-100 mm
Valve for zero air

•Manual or automatic Sample inlet

•Enables cost effective zero
and span calibrations

External fan/blower

• If external blower is required:

• Make sure it is capable of the
temperatures required
• Capacity should match
requirements
• Corrosive resistant if
temperatures are low

Option:
External fan
External fan, Example

Ventur GST, for temperatures up to 150 degrees C

Power rating, 2230/400VAC , 1.2 kW
Max flow, 580 m3/h
Weight 15 kg
