CHRISTIAN LIVING
Part 4
Outline
Intro
 Love is an action word.
 According to Gary Chapman, a relationship counselor who created the concept of Five
(5) Love Languages, there are five (5) ways we can express our love:

Physical Touch Acts of Service

Receiving Gifts Words of Affirmation

Quality Time
Let us look into
 How God demonstrated His love to us
 How we can demonstrate our love to God
“A new command I give you: Love one
34

another. As I have loved you, so you must love

one another. 35 By this everyone will know that
you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
Why did God allow the
sacrifice of His Son for
our sins? But God demonstrates his own love for us in

this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for

us.

This is love: not that we loved God, but that

10

he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning

sacrifice for our sins.
Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also
11

ought to love one another.

19
We love because he first loved us.

And hope does not put us to shame, because
God’s love has been poured out into our hearts
through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to
us.

Whoever claims to love God yet hates a

20

brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not

love their brother and sister, whom they have
seen, cannot love God, whom they have not
seen.

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with

37

all your heart and with all your soul and with
all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest
commandment.
The commandments, “You shall not commit

adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall

not steal,” “You shall not covet,”[a] and
whatever other command there may be, are
summed up in this one command: “Love your
neighbor as yourself.”[b]

“A new command I give you: Love one

34

another. As I have loved you, so you must love

one another.

By this everyone will know that you are my

35

disciples, if you love one another.”

But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for
44

those who persecute you,

Above all, love each other deeply, because

love covers over a multitude of sins.

You, my brothers and sisters, were called to

13

be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge

the flesh[a]; rather, serve one another humbly
in love.

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain

conceit. Rather, in humility value others above

yourselves,

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat,
 I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink,
