About…..

 ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ is an initiative of the
Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75
years of independence of progressive India and the
glorious history of its people, culture and achievements.

 The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the


‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ by flagging off ‘Dandi March’
from Sabarmati Ashram, Ahmedabad on 12th March,
2021. The celebrations started 75 weeks before our 75th
anniversary of Independence and will end on 15th
August, 2023
Objectives….
 The Azadi Ka Amrit

Mahotsav is an
intensive, country wide
campaign which will
focus on citizen
participation, to be
converted into
a 'Janandolan', where
small changes, at the
local level, will add up
to significant national
gains.
Everything you need to
know about….

 * A national implementation
committee headed by the Union
home minister Amit Shah was
constituted to chalk out policies and
planning of events to be undertaken
for the commemoration.

 * The curtain raiser activities begin


March 12, a total of 75 weeks before
August 15, 2022.
 * A cultural programme was also organized on March
12 celebrating the indomitable spirit of the country.

 * The event witnessed the inauguration of curtain raiser


activities planned under the 'India@75' theme such as a
film, website, song, ‘Aatmanirbhar Charkha’ and
‘Aatmanirbhar Incubator.
*A ‘ padyatra’, along
the lines of Gandhi's
Dandi March was also
flagged off by the
Prime Minister.

* The ' padyatra' will be
undertaken by 81
marchers from
Sabarmati Ashram to
Dandi in Navsari. The
journey of 241 miles
will span over 25 days
which will end on
April 5.
* Union minister Prahlad
Singh Patel lead the first
75km-leg of the 'padyatra'.
Governor Acharya Devvrat,
Union MoS Prahlad Singh
Patel and Gujarat CM Vijay
Rupani also attended the
celebrations on the
occasion.
Our contribution…

 Our contribution to our nation is very simple…we
need not sacrifice our lives to show patriotism like
the matrys ….but instead we can respect our
nation…..keep our indian flag always flying high in
our hearts….Let us respect this 75 years of freedom
and use it wisely…
