WHAT IS PREPOSITION?
A prepositional phrase is a group of words consisting of a preposition, its object,
and any words that modify the object. Some of the most common prepositions
that begin prepositional phrases are:

• Sometimes prepositional phrases can come between the subject and the verb. If
the object of the preposition is singular and the subject is plural, or if the object
of the preposition is plural and the subject is singular, there can be confusion in
making the subject and verb agree.

• The cats in the house (is/are) cute.

• The meeting of the members (begin/begins) at 9 am.

• The climbers on the mountain (need/needs) more food.

• Train, waited by the passengers, (is/are) from Bandung.

• One of the books in the library (is/are) my favorite.
