With Trane EaaSy the new equipment is available for a
monthly rental fee which can be easily covered by ordinary
maintenance budgets, for straightforward and rapid
approval.
With a Trane EaaSy contract, the equipment is owned
by Trane and we take care of all required maintenance
and repairs. No unpleasant surprises such as an
expensive repair to be performed due to a sudden
failure: Trane takes care of everything on your behalf,
including 24/7 support.
EaaSy contracts are for a maximum of 9 years.
Before the end of the contract and at least once during
the life of the contract (e.g. at the 4th year) we can offer
you an upgrade to the latest chiller or heat pump model
and help you to attain your efficiency and sustainability
goals. It’s a dynamic solution in line with the fast pace
of technology.

The Challenge The Challenge

Install a central power plant serving the entire site to: A 1000kW chiller used for comfort and Spaarne Gasthuis Hospital

The Solution (18 MW)
Trane installed and commissioned two centrifugal chillers and two
water-cooled chillers . A Trane Chiller Plant Manager controlled the
system.
A maintenance contract was provided with a one-year energy
management plan (Trane Intelligent Services).
The Result
Trane was selected because of their knowledge and experience in
healthcare. The client expressed total satisfaction with the solution
and its execution. Electricity consumption is set to be halved.

The hospital needed a quick solution to continue operations:
• Immediate cooling backup via a Rental solution
• Allow time to develop a permanent solution to increase energy efficiency and
reduce CO2 footprint.
The Solution, in two steps
Trane first provided two RTAD180 rental chillers to replace the defective unit while
working with the customer to meet the hospital sustainability goals by replacing the
chillers in critical conditions.
By summer, the cooling supply was being provided by new energy-efficient RTAF
Sintesis™ Prime chillers. The two units offer high level of efficiency and extra low-
noise acoustic package.
The Result
The Mechanical Engineering Manager relied on Trane due to a positive former
experience combined with the need for a single source for rental and purchase of
high performance equipment with a strong service network.
