Humble beginning ... Service with Love
• 17th Dec 1951 - The hospital was started as a small dispensary in one part
of the old building of St. Mary’s Thope Minor Seminary, Thrissur.
• Only private hospital in Thrissur during that period.
• 1952 - The hospital started service with four rooms and 20 beds, two
retired part-time doctors and two nurses.

•1952 - The Jubilee Mission Hospital was established under
the Canon Law by the Catholic Archdiocese of Trichur and
was registered under the Charitable Organizations Welfare
Act.

• 2001 Aug - The hospital and other facilities were brought


under the umbrella organization, the Jubilee Mission
Hospital Trust, with the Archbishop of Trichur as its Patron
and Chairman.

• Today, The JMH Trust, under the Archdiocese of Trichur


owns and administers Jubilee Mission Group of Institutions

• Mary Maids - An organization of housewives who spend few hours per week in the hospital to attend the needs of poor
patients.
• Jubilee Fraternity - A body of citizens of Thrissur, helping the administration as an advisory board.
• Sahrudaya Blood & Eye society - Free eye camps and blood grouping camps on every Sundays. On all days of
National and Religious importance, we conduct blood donation camps. JMMC is the headquarters of Kerala Blood Donors
Forum and Sahrudaya Eye Society.
• St. Joseph Help Line Group of Social Workers - An organization of social workers who spend noon time in the hospital
attending the needs of out patients.
• Counseling Centres: Human life is sublime and right to live is supreme. Nanma is a suicide prevention counseling
centre functioning in JMMC.

Curriculum Design
• As per the INC approved syllabus, Kerala University of Health sciences plans the
syllabus which is implemented in the college, focusing on activities that enables
the students to achieve institutional mission and vision.
• Second revision of BSc curriculum is published by INC

• Our Vice Principal who is a member of Board of studies (PG) takes feedback
from various departments and present it in board of studies meeting for
consideration
