A benefit of wheaties having a star
athlete on its box is that it uses the
fame from that athlete to get more
consumers, the more consumers the
company has the better. By having
the athlete on the box it makes
consumers think if an athlete that god
eats these so should they.

The benefit for the athlete is that


they get money for it and that it
can improve their image in the
eyes of the fans, can broaden
your fan base or possibly get you
more opportunities the further
your name and face is being
used

This can become a risk if the person


on their box does something
controversial and now the company is
supporting someone who is
controversial in many people's eyes.
Another risk is that they are using an
athlete but the chance the athlete
gets hurt and no longer is the big
name of a sport it throws their main
point of advertisement out the
window.

Wheaties uses sponsorships to grow their fan base and to grab more

consumers attention when shopping for cereal. The wheaties company

gets to use a picture of the athlete and in turn the athlete one gets the

attention from ad and money for the company using their name and

face. For promotion they promote the athletes on their box or any social

media or advertisements and the athlete promotes their brand. Then for

endorsement wheaties is saying they approve and support the athlete

and congratulate them on their successes, and the athlete is approving

that the product is good and they support the brand.

I think a great influencer to be featured on the next wheaties box

should be Charli D'Amelio, who is an American social media

personality and dancer. She was a competitive dancer for over

10 years before starting her social media career in 2019. Charli

is a good choice to be featured because of her following on tik

tok she can influence so many followers to become new

consumers of wheaties and she's also an athlete because she's

done competitive dance for the majority of her life so she can

introduce wheaties to her fans that followed her athletic career.

The market that the influencer would reach would be anywhere

from young kids to teens .

Other food brands that use athletes or celebrities are subway,
popeyes, Papa Johns, chipotle, taco bell, oreo, mcdonalds, burger
king, etc.
