•Everyone takes a turn offering an idea
Tip:-
•Anyone can pass on any turn
1. Don’t edit what is said
•Continue until there are no more ideas and remember not to
•All ideas are listed as they are offered criticise
2. Go for quantity of
ideas at this point;
narrow down the list
later
Mind Mapping Technique
Sometimes, the first idea shared with the
group isn’t the right idea, but it sparks three
better ideas—that’s where mind mapping
comes in. In this technique, the group starts
with one idea and then draws lines connecting Tip
sub-ideas to the first one. Mind mapping is a 1. Encourage wild or

Starbursting Technique
In a starburst brainstorming
session,
● Your team will start with an
idea or challenge at the
center.
● Then create a six-point star
around it.
● Each point represents a
question:
who, what, when, where, why,
and how.
Figure storming Technique
In figure storming, the group
picks a well-known figure who
is not in the room—it could be
a boss, a fictional character, or
a well-known public figure—
and
discusses how that person wo

Brainstorming may seem to lack constraints, but everyone must observe eight house
rules:-]

1. Set a time limit

2. Begin with target problem/brief
3. Refrain from judgement/criticism
4. Encourage weird and wacky ideas
5. Aim for quantity
6. Build on others ideas
7. Stay visual
8. Allow one conversation at a time
