Snowman In a Cup 

Step 1: Give each student a plastic cup

Step 2: Give each student a black marker and tell them to write their
name on the bottom of the cup (if a student cannot write their name
on the cup, you can work together to write their name) 

Step 3: Show the students the pre-made cup and tell them that they
are going to make a snowman on their cup

Step 4: Tell the students to draw 2 eyes for the snowman and a smile
for the snowman using the black marker

Step 5: Give the students an orange marker and tell them to draw a
carrot nose for their snowman

Step 6: Ask each student if they would like popcorn, if yes scoop one
cup of popcorn into their snowman cup.

Step 7: Tell them they can eat and enjoy!


Painting Hands 

• Step 1: Every group will have 2 leaders. 5th graders will take


turns being the leaders for each rotation.
• Step 2: One leader will paint each student's hand, then direct them
leave their handprint on a part of the infinity sign.
• Step 3: A second leader will immediately wipe the paint covered
hand.
• Step 4: Students will take turns until everyone has left their handprint.
• Step 5: 5th grade leaders are responsible for paint use.
Snowball Fight 

• Step 1: One student will explain directions to the group.


• Step 2: Directions: each student will blow their cotton ball
from one end of the table then again back to their starting
position.
• Step 3: One student will pass out one straw and one cotton
ball to each student. 
• Step 4: Students can race 2 at a time or do this
independently.
Roll-eo 
• Step 1: One student will explain directions to the
group.
• Step 2: Directions: Tip your head back and try to roll
the oreo down your face to your mouth without using
your hands.
• Step 3: Try to keep the oreo up so it rolls.
Hot Potato 
• Step 1: Every group will have 1 leader. 5th graders will take turns
being the leader for each rotation.
• Step 2: This leader will be the calling "go" and "stop" during the game
and direct the students to form a circle.
• Step 3: When the leader says "go", the group will sing "Hot Potato"
over and over again. 
• Step 4: When the leader says, "stop", the group will stop passing and
the student holding the potato is out of the circle.
• Step 5: Play until the time is up.
Sensory Break
• Step 1: Explain to all students that a sensory break is a time to relax
and rest 
• Step 2: Direct all students to find a spot that they will stay with for the
entire break
• Step 3: Tell students that voices are off and bodies are calm
• Step 4: Set a timer for 5min
• Step 5: Click play on the relaxing music on YouTube
• Step 6: Make sure that all students have found a spot, voices are off,
and they remain still and quite until the timer goes off.
