ABSTRACT

The purpose of the project entitled as “HOSPITAL MANAGING WEB” is to computerize the Front
Office Management of Hospital to develop software which is user friendly simple, fast, and
cost –  effective. It deals with the collection of patient’s information, diagnosis details,
etc. Traditionally, it was done manually. The main function of the system is register and store patient
details and doctor details and retrieve these details as and when required, and also to manipulate
these details meaningfully System input contains patient details, diagnosis details, while system
output is to get these details on to the screen. The Hospital Management System can be entered
using a username and password. It is accessible either by an administrator or receptionist. Only they
can add data into the database. The data can be retrieved easily. The data are well protected for
personal use and makes the data processing very fast.
INTRODUCTION

The project Hospital Managing Web includes registration of patients, storing their details into the
system, and labs. The software has the facility to give a unique id for every patient and stores the
details of every patient and the staff. It includes a search facility to know the current status of each
room. User can search availability of a doctor and the details of a patient using the id. The Hospital
Management System can be entered using a username and password. It is accessible either by an
administrator or receptionist. Only they can add data into the database. The data can be retrieved
easily. The interface is very user-friendly. The data are well protected for personal use and makes
the data processing very fast. Hospital Managing Web is powerful, flexible, and easy to use and is
designed and developed to deliver real conceivable benefits to hospitals.

intelligent decision making” Author(s): Musa, A. Lancashire Bus. Sch., Univ. of Central

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT

1) Information about Patients is done by just writing the Patients name, age and gender. Whenever
the Patient comes up his information is stored freshly.
2) Bills are generated by recording price for each facility provided to Patient on a separate sheet
and at last they all are summed up.
3) Diagnosis information to patients is generally recorded on the document, which contains Patient
information. It is destroyed after some time period to decrease the paper load in the office.
4) Immunization records of children are maintained in pre-formatted sheets, which are kept in a
file.
5) Information about various diseases is not kept as any document. Doctors themselves dothis job
by remembering various medicines.
HARDWARE & SOFTWARE REQUIREMENT

Hardware requirement :
• System: Pentium IV 2.4 GHz.
• Hard Disk :40 GB.
• Ram: 2 GB.

Software requirement :
• Operating system : Windows XP/7
• Coding Language: PHP.
• IDE : PhpStorm.
• Front End: PHP.
• Back End: SQL Server 2014 Management Studio
ADVANTAGES
•Specifically, the integration of the software into the system has made communication much
more effective in the case of the health care system. As a result, it is possible to access every
data from anywhere in the world specifically via. authorized login. This mode of
communication has become relatively cheaper.

•The effective usage of technology has contributed to minimizing many of the limitations.
One of the biggest issues in the health care system is considered to be the geographical
limitation. This has been effectively managed with the addition of the hospital management
system. The integral reports can be sent through instant messages, emails, etc.

•In the case of the hospital management system, the information is available 24 hours
throughout the week. This indicates that the reports can be sent anytime on any particular day.
So, there is no such possibility for the delay in getting the treatment. Apart from that, the
communication mode has become relatively cheaper. Therefore, no report will be delayed
from reaching the hands of the authorities.
DISADVANTAGES

• One of the greatest disadvantages of the hospital management system is generally

related to security. It is considered to be a matter of concern in case you go online
without enough protection which can create some big problems related to security.

• Another greatest problem that is associated with the health care industry is the data
breach. Not only that, but it is also known to be a sophisticated problem.

• Lack of employment is another such thing. The chances of employment usually

become less with the automation of the system. Also, the gradual need for manual
data drafting becomes an irrelevant aspect.
APPLICATIONS

· Medical Shop
· Hospital
FUTURE SCOPE

Hospitals and healthcare centers have undergone a change for its betterment. The administrations
of healthcare sector are opting IT solutions for the better management and patient care in their
hospital campus. Have a look at some salient features of hospital management software.
CONCLUSION

Since we are entering details of the patients electronically in the” Hospital ManagementSystem”, data
will be secured. Using this application we can retrieve patient’s history with a
single click. Thus processing information will be faster. It guarantees accurate maintenance ofPatient
details. It easily reduces the book keeping task and thus reduces the human effort andincreases
accuracy speed.
