PHYSICAL SECURITY BARRIERS

1. NATURAL BARRIERS

Natural barriers are those natural

topographical characteristics such as rivers,
mountains, seas, ravines, cliffs, etc., that by
themselves slow down or difficult the entry
or access of an intruder to an installation.
2. STRUCTURAL BARRIERS
Structural barriers are those barriers constructed by man without consideration
to its original intention that could delay the intruder.

BARBED WIRE FENCING

Barbed wire is a type of steel fencing wire

constructed with sharp edges or points
arranged at intervals along the strands. It is
used to construct inexpensive fences and is
used a top walls surrounding security property.
 CHAIN LINK FENCING
A major advantage of chain link fencing
is that it provides good visibilities from
both sides, for both guards and police
patrols.

CONCERTINA WIRE FENCING

Concertina barbed wire or tape to be made

from high-strength steel clipped together to

commercial, industrial and military properties for
protection against burglary or property damage
as well as personal protection against intruder.
 CCTV

closed circuit television is also known

as video surveillance. It transmit signals
to a specific place, on a limitted set of
monitors.
Levels of cctv :
• Detention- The ability to detect the
presence of an object .
• Recognition- The ability to determine
the type of object .
• Identification- The ability to determine
the object details.
