Getting paid less than a male employee who works the same job

being passed over for a promotion on account of gender

being subject to unwanted sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, or other
forms of sexual harassment

Under federal law, gender discrimination is considered illegal under
circumstances where the discrimination involves treatment that
negatively affects the terms and conditions of your job which includes:
• job responsibilities
• dress code
• work hours
• starting salary
• performance standards
• vacation days

the workplace

There’s a long history of gender imbalance

• Historically, C-suite roles are held by men and in certain industries the
discrepancy is even more obvious.

• “Men are more assertive than women, that’s why they request and get a
promotion more often.”
• “After a certain age, women will struggle to balance family needs with the
requirements of a senior position.”
