OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the lesson, the students

must be able to:
 Define system of linear equations
 Graph a given system of linear equations
 Classify whether a system of linear

equations is consistent, inconsistent, or

dependent
 Apply the concept of system of linear

equations into real-life setting.

Terminologies:
 Consistent – It is a type of linear system that has
exactly one solution and whose graph consists
of intersecting lines.
 Inconsistent – It is a type of linear system that
has no solution and whose graph consists of
parallel lines.
 Dependent – It is a type of linear system that has
infinitely many solutions and whose graph
consists of coinciding lines.
 Solution – It is a point where the two lines
intersect/meet.
