 OBJECTIVES
 

1.To assess the high-risk pregnancy among antenatal

mothers.
2.To assess the level of knowledge regarding high-risk
pregnancy among antenatal mothers.
3.To determine the effectiveness of structured teaching
programme on knowledge regarding PMMVY among
antenatal mothers.
4.To find out association between pretest knowledge
score and effectiveness of structured teaching
programme on knowledge regarding PMMVY among

OPERATIONAL DEFINITION

High Risk Pregnancy

•High risk pregnancies are determined by medical
conditions such as high blood pressure, gestational
diabetes, chronic illness or history of genetic disorder.
Effectiveness
•In this study effectiveness refers to significant improvement
in knowledge regarding PMMVY among antenatal mothers.

Knowledge
•It refers to understanding and skills that is gained through
education or experience.

Structured Teaching Programme

•It refers to systematically developed knowledge regarding
PMMVY among antenatal mothers

Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana

• Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, previously known as the
Indira Gandhi Matritva Sahyog Yojana, is a maternity benefit
program run by the government of India. It was originally
launched in 2010 and renamed in 2017. The scheme is
implemented by the Ministry of Women and Child Development.
 
Antenatal Mothers
• Antenatal means relating to the medical care of women when
they are expecting a baby.

 NEED OF THE STUDY

The Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY)

was launched for pregnant and lactating mothers providing
compensation to them for income loss, in terms of money
during pregnancy.
The purpose of this study was to determine and spread
awareness on knowledge regarding Pradhan Mantri Matru
Vandana Yojana among antenatal mothers. Besides that,
this study will also help to evaluate and identify all the
high-risk pregnant women and help to improve the
maternal and child health along-with reduction in the
morbidity and mortality rate in antenatal mothers.
