 In St. Torcato village


 7kms north of Guimaraes, Portugal
 Construction started in1871
 Hybrid architectural style
 Built in masonry with locally available natural granite stones and
dry joints
 Three leaf composite wall

 Doors and windows have arch openings

 wooden truss over the vault of the nave

Conclusions

 Study of historic documentation revealed the history of the


building of the Church and helped in the interpretation of the
testing results.
 Useful for estimating the quality and strength of the structure

 Should have periodical monitoring and maintenance works
