What is Regenerative Agriculture?
⊷ Regenerative agriculture is a
conservation and rehabilitation
approach to food and farming
systems.
⊷ It focuses on topsoil
regeneration, increasing
biodiversity, improving the water
cycle, enhancing ecosystem
services, increasing resilience to
climate change, and
strengthening the health and
vitality of farm soil.

practices increase soil
biodiversity and organic
matter, leading to more
resilient soils that can better
withstand climate change
impacts like flooding and
drought.
⊷ Healthy soils beget strong

Types of Regenerative Farming
Regenerative farming is classified based on the ways
it is done:-

1. No- Till farming

2. Regenerative Grazing

Definition of:-
⊷ No- Till Farming- No-till farming is an
agricultural technique for growing crops
or pasture without disturbing the soil
through tillage.
⊷ Regenerative Grazing- Regenerative
grazing is a principle-driven agricultural
practice of building soil health by
managing livestock on perennial and
annual forages, and in a way that
supports human and ecosystem health.
⊷ Agroforestry- Agroforestry is the
management and integration of trees,
crops and/or livestock on the same plot
of land and can be an integral
component of productive agriculture.
