BACKGROUND

Asthma is a serious problem and is continue to increase with respiratory syndromes such as wheezing, shortness of
breath, tightness of chest and cough as symptoms and affect all the age groups.

One of the asthmatic trigger from environmental factors, named: Cigarette smoke.

inflammation as asthma could happen.

The prevalence of children exposed to cigarette smoke in Lampung


at 2019 was around 50,5%.

Objective

The aim of the study was the relationship


between cigarette smoke exposures with
the incidence of child asthma at Harum
Melati Clinic Pringsewu for the 2017-
2019 periods.
