IMPACT FROM THE PHENOMENA OF THE SMOKE SMOKE IN THE

Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) is often encountered in toddlers and children, ARI

in toddlers in Indonesia in 2018 found as many as 93,620 cases of ARI from 0-59

months of age. ARI is one of the main causes of death which kills ± 4 million children

under five every year. This is wrong when influenced by the phenomenon of haze in

the Indonesian region which causes air pollution. This study aims to explore the

experience of parents caring for toddlers aged 12-59 months with ARI impacts of the

haze phenomenon by using qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach.

Data collection is done by in-depth interviews with informants. This study involved 4

informants namely parents (mothers) whose toddlers were exposed to acute

respiratory tract infections during the occurrence of the haze phenomenon in the

working area of the Air Saga puskesmas. Belitung. It is hoped that by doing this

research it can become a revision for further in-depth research on ARI in infants, be

able to develop and improve nursing services in a professional manner and be able

to provide information about caring for infants aged 12-59 months with ARI impact

of the haze phenomenon.

the results of data analysis from the experience of parents caring for toddlers aged

12-59 months with ARI the impact of the haze phenomenon in the working area of

Puskesmas Air Saga Kab. Belitung obtained 4 main themes and sub-themes, namely:

1. . Parents seek treatment with sub-themes of bringing toddlers to the

puskesmas and bringing toddlers to the village head

2. care at home which has sub themes, namely, fulfilling nutritional needs, as

well as independent care

3. Parents' feelings when caring for toddlers are feelings of worry.

4. Looking for information about disease
