supervision
• They can conduct physical
examination, diagnose and
treat illness, order, interpret
test and counsel on
preventive health care
Licensed practical nurse
• She/ he can practice under
the supervision of
RN,physician.
• She must have diploma and
license to practice
• Their scope of practice is
according to the state’s nurse
practice act.
Pharmacist
Physiotherapist
Allied health practitioners
• They can be divided into therapist,
technologists, technicians and
assistants in physical therapy,
respiratory therapy, surgery,
sonography etc.
• Therapists and technologist need
more advanced training to evaluate
patient’s problem
• Technicians and assistants require
supervision from therapist and
technologist
Ward clerk
• He/she mainly act as a secretary maintaining
patient’s record, ordering supplies, performing
receptionist duties and directing the flow of traffic in
the patient care unit
Social worker
Spiritual and religious
personnal
• Different families came from different
background
• Pastoral care workers provide spiritual care
which is an integral part of holistic health care
