GENERAL OBJECTIVES AS A HEAD NURSE

1. Utilize the nursing process in the care of individuals, families, and population group in the hospital setting. Assess patients with their condition, health status through interview, physical examinations and interpretations of laboratory findings. Identify actual and at-risk nursing diagnosis. Plan appropriate nursing interventions with the patient and significant others for identified nursing diagnosis. Implement plan of care with the patient and significant others. Evaluate progress of the patients condition and outcome of care.

2. Ensure a well-organized and accurate documentation and reporting system. 3. Demonstrate leadership and competence in the performance of the responsibilities as a nurse practitioner in the hospital. 4. Observe bioethical principles, core values, and standards of care while practicing as a nurse. 5. Promote personal and professional growth for self and others.
