THE USAGE OF

RENEWABLE ENERGY
IN WATER PUMPING
High Voltage Team
The Revolution of Renewable
Energy Usage
The Advantages Of Using Solar
Energy

• Renewable clean power that is available every

day of the year, even cloudy days produce some
power.
• No toxic or polluting emissions into the air.
• Solar power is suitable for remote areas that are
not connected to energy grids.
• Increasingly competitive energy source.
The Advantages Of Using Solar
Energy

• Reduces the need to rely on petroleum products

or natural gas.
• Property value increase if you are looking to sell
your home, the installation of solar power
systems can increase its value.
• Solar panels after 20 years of usages, your
panels should still be working at about 90% of its
original output “the average degradation rate is
about 0.5% per year”
Why water pumping ?

 Solar water pumps are environmentally friendly

and run on renewable energy. They don't emit
dangerous pollutants.
 Storing water on tanks. During the sunniest parts
of the day, use your solar pump to pump water
to your tank. You will then have water available
via gravity feed whenever you need.
 helping poor districts and remote areas.
 Mobility of the system “without large tanks”
Affordability and
cost:-
Total cost of our project in big scale comparing it with benzene water pump. we
can be assured that our project has achieved first design requirement affordability
and cost. Benzene water pump

Solar Energy vs. Benzene
 Solar power is pollution-free and causes no greenhouse gases to be emitted after installation.

 Reduced dependence on foreign oil and fossil fuels.

 Renewable clean power that is available every day of the year, even cloudy days produce
some power.

 Virtually no maintenance as solar panels last over 30 years.

 Can be installed virtually anywhere; in a field to on a building.

 Use batteries to store extra power for use at night.

 Efficiency is always improving so the same size solar that is available today will become
more efficient tomorrow.
The Challenges of Solar Energy

• Intermittent energy : electrical energy that is not continuously

available due to external factors that cannot be controlled “In
This Case ‘Sun’ is our external factor”
• Solar panels can be costly to install, resulting in a long time for
energy bill savings to match initial investments.
The Challenges of Solar
Energy

• Solar energy is utilized to charge batteries, allowing

solar gadgets to be used at night. The batteries are
frequently huge , taking up space and requiring
maintenance on a regular schedule.
Why water pumping ?

 Canbe used as a source of pumping for remote

areas and poor cities and Oasis.
 Canbe used as irrigation system “with some
upgrades”.
 Can be used as a portable device to clean your car
Multi-functional pumping system
Our pumping system could be used in many purposes , concluded in the next
points:-

 In irrigation instead of benzene motor.

 Working as a small water station.

 Reclamation of oases by raising water from wells.

 Pumping the water with high pressure to wash cars or extinguish fires.

 In cities like Hurghada, they use tanks to save water. our project can help
them for lifting the water from the tank to the house. in addition, it’s more
efficient in cities where it is Sunny all year round like it.
Design requirements

 Affordability, low cost and high efficiency.

 Using clean energy.

 Multi-functional pumping system.

 Easy to use and install.

 Environmental design.
Environmental design

 Our project is designed to fit with the environment and don't harm it by any
type of pollutions.

 we use renewable and clean energy to supply our system with it, so we
prevented the air pollution that was produced by burning in benzene motors.
Parts of the system That might need
replacement
 Inverter : you might have to replace your inverter after 10 to
15 years. This is one particular part that is continuously
working under high pressure to convert DC to AC
 Solar batteries : an essential part of the solar system if you
want to store the extra power for later use, such as an off-grid
solar system. However, they also degrade faster than panels,
and their approximate lifespan is about ten years.
