In the simplest terms, cloud computing
means storing and accessing data and
programs over the internet instead of your
computer's hard drive.

Ultimately, the "cloud" is just a metaphor for the

internet. It goes back to the days of flowcharts and
presentations that would represent the gigantic
server-farm infrastructure of the internet .
EXAMPLES OF CLOUD COMPUTING
1. Drop Box
When it comes to cloud computing real-life examples,
Dropbox is a true leader. Established in the year 2008,
Dropbox plays an important role in how data is stored.
It comes with a sophisticated dashboard, which can be
accessed via the desktop or web application. Dropbox is
one of the very few cloud storage services to offer up to
1 TB of storage space for free.
2. Amazon
The talk about any cloud service will remain
incomplete without Amazon. Amazon has a huge
myriad of cloud services. In fact, some of these services
are offered for free. Due to this robust nature,
Amazon’s AWS Cloud has become a choice in many
regulated institutions like schools. Around the world,
amazon cloud services are used as a part of of K12 and
Primary Education.
ADVANTAGES OF CLOUD COMPUTING
1) Back-up and restore data
Once the data is stored in the cloud, it
is easier to get back-up and restore that
data using the cloud.

2) Data security
Cloud offers many advanced features
related to security and ensures that
data is securely stored and handled.
DISADVANTAGES OF CLOUD COMPUTING
1) Internet Connectivity
If you do not have good internet connectivity,
you cannot access these data. However, we have
no any other way to access data from the cloud.

2) Limited Control
As we know, cloud infrastructure is completely
owned, managed, and monitored by the service
provider, so the cloud users have less control
over the function and execution of services
within a cloud infrastructure.
