• Before independence Portugal was “Condado Portucalense” and it was ruled by the
king of Reino de Leão.
• In 1143 this county was declared independent and the next kings started to widen
territory.
• Portugal was one of the countries that started discoveries.
• The monarchy ended in 1910 due to a republic revolution.
• We lived in a ditature between 1933 and 1974, but the revolution of 25 april ended
that.
• We live in peace since then.

Famalicão is a city ​with a very strong


industry. The main industries are:
• textile industry
• footwear industry
• mechanical metal industry
FAMALICÃO
• Located in the north of portugal, Famalicão has a lot of access to
different cities and that makes the industry a strong activity here.
• This city has a lot of green spaces like Parque da devesa, parque
da juventude.
• The heritage, culture are extensive in Famalicão.
• It's a wonderful city.

The then called Liceu Nacional de Sá de Miranda was founded in 1969 by the president Manuel João Dias
Costa.
There were a lot of changes throughout the years.

AECCB was created in 2012.

AECCB is a school cluster constitued by:


• 6 kindergartens
• 8 elementary schools
• a middle school
• a secondary school

The middle school - E.B. 2,3 Júlio Brandão - and the


secondary school - E.S Camilo Castelo Branco - are the
main schools in this cluster.
CURIOSITY

This school cluster as the well as the secondary


school is named after a famous portuguese
writer - Camilo Castelo Branco.

Camilo was born in Lisbon settled with his wife in


Seide S.Miguel, Vila Nova de Famalicão, where he
lived until he died in 1890.
The house is now a museum.
