Portugal: a wonderful country which deserves
to be visited. Its culture is bigger than anything.
We will start showing you what the main
Portuguese symbols are in each region of
Portugal:

Fado

If you travel to Portugal, you have


to attend a Fado concert, at least
one!
In this type of music, Portuguese
traditional guitar, named
“Guitarra Portuguesa” is used to

Amália Rodrigues was one

she is considered the most
iconic person of Fado. She
died in 1999.

Mariza is a fado singer too.

The north of Portugal is the coldest
region of Portugal, but that doesn’t mean
it is not friendly!
Well know for its wines and gastronomy,

Elvas is an outstanding example of a garrison town
and its defense system.

The fortifications of the city of Elvas have their


origins in the Arab period; these were substantially
upgraded during the Christian period up until the
16th century.
Historic Centre Of
Évora
This museum-city, reached its golden age in the
15th century, when it became the residence of the
Portuguese kings.

The Temple of Diana in the center of the Centre of


Évora take us to the ancient Roman times before
Christ. The whitewashed houses around it are
decorated with tiles which color is white and blue.

In those two archipelagos, Madeira and Açores,


you’ll find landscapes that you had never seen
before!
