Automatic Ambulance Rescue System

Introduction

• Due to the rise and rapid growth in the number of vehicles on

road, the number accidents have also dramatically increased
and it has been causing a great loss of life or most people
suffer fatal injuries.
• The main objective of this project is to implement an efficient
way to detect accidents in real time and thus minimize the loss
of life using technique which involve Microcontroller, which
interfaces with GSM and GPS technology.
Existing System
• The Traditional detection method is that each time an accident
occurs there is no intimidation to the ambulance until someone
calls and informs about the accident. Thus causing delay and
loss of life.
• This delay is mainly due to slow intimidation to the ambulance
which will be our main goal in saving sometime thus causing
faster access
 Disadvantages of Existing System
• Unable to reach the accident spot in time.
• Loss of life.
Proposed System
This project consists of two different units, which coordinate
with each other.
1. Vehicle unit.
2. Ambulance unit.
The detailed explanation of this unit is given below
 Vehicle unit
• In vehicle unit we designed vibration sensor using 2 –wire
piezoelectric sensor & IC LM358P .The vibration sensor is set
to particular threshold.
 Ambulance unit
• It consists of arduino board and gsm module with LCD
display and buzzer. When accident occurs it receives accident
location latitude and longitude.

Ambulance unit
Result
This is the vehicle unit where
we send an SMS with the
emergency number to the GSM
inserted in this unit. The unit
saves the number and when an
accident occurs the location
details are sent to the same
saved number.
Ambulance unit
When a accident is detected the ambulance unit gives an alert message.
The location details are shared with the ambulance unit as longitude
and latitude.
Conclusion

• Whenever a road accident place occurs various types of

damages takes place which could be in the form of human
beings who are largely victims, infrastructure which is damage
to the government and other administration damages which
occurs during accident.
• By this project we provide an innovative approach to detect
the accidents and rescue the victims from the accidents
