Motorcycles in a connected environment
Present situation AVs and CVs:
- V2V, V2X
- ADAS (General Safety Regulation: (EU) 2019/2144)
- AVs level 2 (although many manufacturers claim
level 3)
- Exceptions: pilots, shuttle busses, goods
robots &c.
- New developments soon to be expected:
technical and legal. UN ECE R.79

Future situation
- Even with rapid development of EVs and
CVs, long transition period.
- Connected and automated vehicles will
share the road with other road users for a
long time, if not forever.
- Possibly seperated/dedicated roads and
lanes for AVs.
- In general: interaction between CVs/AVs
