What is Radiant/Light Energy?
The Visible Light Spectrum

Color Wavelength (nm)

Red 625 - 740

Orange 590 - 625

Yellow 565 - 590

A wave is a disturbance that transfers

Green 520 - 565
energy from one place to another.

Cyan 500 - 520

Blue 435 - 500

Radiant Energy is the energy carried
by electromagnetic waves. Violet 380 - 435
The Sun, The Biggest Source of Radiant
Energy
Sunburn is the effect of
being exposed to too much
UV(Ultraviolet) light. The
body responds by excreting
Melanin, Which is the reason
your skin becomes red.
Some examples of the Radiant energy Extreme amounts of UV light
emanated form the sun include, but are not may cause your skin to age
limited too: faster, witch may lead to
pealing or, in serous cases
• Sunlight(Visible Light) skin cancer.
• Ultraviolet
• Microwaves
• Radio waves
Seeing your Bones

Very not so fun fact:

It is completely safe to get an image test,
as it exposes you to safe levels of
radiation, however the doctors hide because
they are exposed several times a day. this
places them in dangers way.

X-Rays have wavelengths from

10^-8 to 10^-12 metre
Heat it up and fast, The Microwave
Short history of the microwave:

After WW2 the idea of heating up food

with microwaves was not new,
companies had already figured out a
way to do, however their designs
where impractical at the time and
thus flopped in the market.

However Percy Spenser took it

further, accidentally discovering
microwaves of a certain frequency
Microwaves have wavelengths of about one could heat up food faster than
meter to one millimeter before. In 1946 Spencer filled a
patent on the use of microwaves to
heat up food. And thus the modern
microwave was born.
