LUKE 10:17-21 TPT

17When the seventy missionaries returned to Jesus,

they were ecstatic with joy, telling him, “Lord, even
the demons obeyed us when we commanded them in
your name!”
18Jesus replied, “While you were ministering, I
watched Satan topple until he fell suddenly from
heaven like lightning to the ground
19Now you understand that I have imparted to you my
authority to trample over his kingdom. You will trample
upon every demon before you and overcome every power
Satan possesses. Absolutely nothing will harm you as you
walk in this authority. 20However, your real source of joy
isn’t merely that these spirits submit to your authority, but
that your names are written in the journals of heaven and
that you belong to God’s kingdom. This is the true source
of your authority.”
Discipleship, Modeled After Jesus, Equals
Directed, Intentional Relationship.

Directed, because it has a goal; to enable people

to trust and follow Jesus Christ.
Intentional, because disciples were & are
chosen.
Relationship, because discipleship happens from
person to person. It’s not a program, it’s life on life
interaction which leads to transformation into the
likeness of Jesus.
Who invested most in you and your spiritual life?
What’s one overriding action Jesus wants from all
Christians?
Hint: It involves loving Him and others enough to do
this…
(Make Disciples)!
Agree or Disagree?
“Nothing matters more than being a disciple of Jesus
and making disciples. Nothing is more noble and
inspiring.” adapted from Harrington & Patrick
THE PRAY - CARE -
SHARE STRATEGY
What is the nicest thing anyone has done for you?
Often, we remember what people DO for us.
Today, we will learn about the PRAY – CARE –
SHARE strategy.
This is a simple yet powerful strategy that we can do
to share Christ to our friends. This is just one of the
many strategies for evangelism but this time, we will
be more intentional to practice it!
1. PRAY - for people and pray with people.
Make a list of 10 people that you will pray for to come to
Christ and look for opportunities to pray with them.

WHY?
Have you ever asked your friend how you can pray for him
or her? How did they react? For most people who have
tried this first step, they have almost always received a
positive response, even from atheists!
I urge, then, first of all, that requests,
prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be
made for everyone--- (1 Timothy 2:1)
2. CARE - by demonstrating real concern.

WHY?
Have you ever gone out of your way to help a friend?
There are many ways that you can go out of your
way to do something kind for them.
Good deeds demonstrate the nature of God and open
doors to deeper friendship.

In the same way, let your light shine before men,

that they may see your good deeds and praise your
Father in heaven. - (Matthew 5:16)
3. SHARE - your own story and the Gospel.

Share about what your life was like before you met Christ, how you met
Christ and the changes you experienced once you accepted Christ as
your Savior and Lord. No one can debate with your testimony. It is
personal and easy to relate to.
