Male chauvinism

One of the biggest obstacles to

Feminism
• Male chauvinism is the belief that men are
superior to women. The first documented
use of the phrase "male chauvinism" is in
the 1935 Clifford Odets play Till the Day I
Die. The pejorative phrase "male
chauvinist pig" (sometimes abbreviated
"MCP") has been used both seriously and
humorously since the 1960s.
Male chauvinism in China
The origin of Male chauvinism in China is
Confucianism. Confucianism is a
very popular thought and accepted by
Feudal society in China . Confucius thoug
ht that women are inferior to men. This
opinion has influenced China for
thousands years. Even today, there are s
o many men who think they are superior.
• In the history of China, Li Zhi first came up
with a idea that women are equal to men.
After hundreds of years, more and more
people begun to realize that women are equal
to men, and they also said that women
should receive equal education.
Wang is the first man in China who declare
that he is a feminist.
• In China, not many people declare that
they are feminists. But now, in modern
time, more and more people begun to
concentrate on the right of women and the
y also show their respect to women. So in
some ways, the most important is not
weather you are a feminist, is what you do.
