PGAC : An Introduction
• Post-Graduate Academic Council(PGAC) is a student-run body and the
responsibility of PGAC is to represent, and communicate, the academic
interests of postgraduate students.

• Address the concerns and grievances of the students on all academic fronts.
(Not restricted to academics only)

• Organize events and workshops to enhance exposure to various career

opportunities in research and industry.

• Deliberate and work on some policy changes to address the demands of the
students and suggest that to the administration.

• Work in collaboration with the ISCP, SARC and Placement Cell for the welfare
of the students on all academic fronts.

• There are different sub-committees within PGAC.

achieving the objectives of the academic council.

● Increase awareness about the academic rules, regulations and different provisions
for special circumstances in the dept.

● Work as a member of the subcommittee at the level of the institute.

● Mandate the presence of student representatives in departmental PG committees.

● Proposed various policy changes.

● Reservation for Master’s students in Placement Manager positions.

● Placement cell for Doctoral students.

● Pushed for the digitalization of obtaining the No-Dues certificate process.
