 The King-Victoria intersection plays a significant transportation role as the
intersection of two major arterials at the geographic centre of the cities of
Kitchener-Waterloo. As such, there are heavy volumes through this
intersection by car, by transit, and by walking and cycling. The Region’s
main rail corridor, on which VIA Rail and GO Transit rail services run,
traverses the Transit Hub site.

 The King-Victoria transit hub located on the north east corner of the king
street and the Victoria street in the downtown kitchener.
 The site includes the properties between the rail corridor and the Victoria
street between the king street and duke street.

intersection for travel through the city while serving as the western gateway into
the town.
 Downtown kitchener is undergoing significant redevelopment and revitalisation.
 Public investment in the area , such as the

- the revitalisation of kings street ,
- the communitech business accelerator,
- the museum ,
- the new kitchener market and Wilfred laurier university’s school of social
work have helped to catalyze increased activity and development interest in the
town .
