Nutritional Requirements
Table tennis is an aerobic sport with short bursts of high energy. It is
important for the athlete to have balance of entire body and speed of
reaction time.
For a table tennis player, carbohydrates must be the main source of
energy and should constitute 50-60% of total energy(7-8 gm per kg
weight so approximately 500gm per day) required. 15% of the total
energy mast be provided by proteins(140g per day). The fat intake must
be less. The player must keep themselves hydrated.

Ingredients Importance
Chicken breasts High protein source, no carbs, low fat
Brown rice Main source of carbohydrate, also
provides Iron, Calcium, Vit B1 and B6 etc.
Sautéed veggies- Provides small amount of carbs, dietary
Beans, mushrooms, carrots, cauliflower, fibers, proteins, Vit B12, Vit C, etc.

Blueberry yogurt Ant oxidative properties, increases
cognitive function.
Electrolyte drink- Salt, honey, fresh mint, Antioxidants and hydration. Relaxes
ginger muscles and lowers stress and tension
RECIPE
For Pan-grilled chicken-
• Chicken breasts
• ¼ teaspoon black pepper to taste
• ¼ teaspoon paprika to taste
• 1 ½ tablespoon lemon juice
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• ½ tablespoon ginger garlic paste to taste
• ½ teaspoon salt to taste
• Marinate for 15-20 minutes
• Coat the pan with olive oil and grill at medium flame for 5-10 minutes.
RECIPE
. For brown rice-
• 1 cup brown rice soaked for 10 minutes
• Add pinch of salt while boiling the rice for 10-15 minutes
• Drain the water from the rice
For sautéed veggies:
• Boil the veggies for 10 minutes with pinch of salt
• Drain out the excess water
• In a pan add little amount of butter
• Add veggies with pinch of salt, paprika and mixed herbs for taste and sauté at high flame
for 5 minutes
• Serve hot with the meal
RECIPE
For electrolyte drink:
1.5-2 cups of water
2-3 finely chopped mint leaves
Ginger shreds
¼ teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon honey
Mix all the ingredients and store in the fridge for upto a week.
