origin of California’s name has been fully
accepted, but there is wide support for
the contention that it derived from an
early 16th-century Spanish novel “The
Adventures of Esplandián”, that
described a paradisiacal island full of
gold and precious stones called

reach forty million by 2020.

Michigan, constituent state of the United

its land Michigan ranks only 22nd of the
50 states, the inclusion of the Great Lakes
waters over which it has jurisdiction
increases its area considerably, placing it
11th in terms of total area. The capital is
Lansing, in south-central Michigan. . The
state’s name is derived from michi-gama,
an Ojibwa (Chippewa) word meaning
“large lake.”

the population of Michigan at 10,084,442
at the 2020 United States Census, an
increase of 2.03% from 9,883,635
recorded at the 2010 United States
Census.
The center of population of Michigan is in
Shiawassee County, in the southeastern
corner of the civil township of Bennington,
which is northwest of the village of
Morrice

In 2020, Michigan generated around
$7.6 billion in agricultural cash
receipts with the highest valued
commodities being dairy products,
specifically milk, soybeans, and
corn. That same year, the value of
Michigan's agricultural production
and processing industries
represented 2.9 percent of total
state GDP.

Florida is the most populous of the
southeastern states and the
second most populous Southern
state after Texas. The capital is
Tallahassee, located in the
northwestern panhandle.

increase since the 2010 United States
census.
The center of population has moved less
than 5 miles (8 km) to the east and
approximately 1 mile (1.6 km) to the north
between 1980 and 2010 and has been
located in Polk County since the 1960
census

The economy of the state of
Florida is the fourth-largest in
the United States, with a $1.2
trillion gross state product (GSP)
as of 2021. If Florida were a
sovereign nation (2021), it would
rank as the world's 16th-largest
economy according to the
International Monetary Fund,
ahead of Indonesia and behind
Mexico.
