Reader’s theater is a strategy for developing
fluency. It involves children in oral reading

Readers
Reader’s Theater is a great tool to help students through reading parts in scripts. In using this
gain a love of reading and learn to read with strategy , students do not need to memorize their
purpose. part; they only need to reread it several times ,
thus developing fluency skills (Reader's Theater:
Classroom Strategy 2020).

Theater
Students will choose a book on Raz kids or a book
they have at home to perform the reader’s theater
with and have their parents or relatives . The
benefits of Reader’s Theater are :
• It promotes fluency.
• It helps readers learn to read aloud with expression.
• It helps build reading confidence.
• Strategies to strengthen the connections the brain needs to
access for increased reading fluency call for guided,
repeated, and modeled oral reading.
For our writing activity they will take a
worksheet home with a bunch of words from
the Words in Color Charts and create
sentences by connecting words and
unscramble them to create a sentence.

For my struggling students – I will have Words In

sentences already made for them to
unscramble and then they write the correct
sentence helping connect the dots on how to
build and write sentences .
Color Writing

Advanced students- I will have them create
their own centers using the words from the
