* irish weddings
A traditional Irish wedding is a very beautiful
ceremony. Many couples choose to honor the ancient
Celtic rite of "joining hands" at their weddings, where
the bride and groom join hands through a tied bow.
The famous custom of getting married wearing
"something blue, something new, something used and
something borrowed" is of Irish origin.
*Celtic traditions
Irish brides often add to their white dresses a crown of
flowers on their heads reminiscent of Celtic clothing,
usually lavender, and do not wear veils on their faces.
Even today many grooms choose to use the ancient
Celtic blessings for a life of love even when they are
practicing Christians.
