Dos and Don’ts about Zoom sessions


1)If zoom is not working (either Audio or video) on your laptop or desktop, then the
problem is with your network or device.

2)Student should strictly keep audio and video both on mute during the session. If any
of the student's video is on, then reception will be poor.

3)At the end of the session student will be given separate time to ask questions.

4)Parents should give clear instructions to students on remaining mute, not scratching
screen as it's disturbing online class.

5)Please note that all above online etiquettes need to be followed by everyone to get
100% from online sessions.

6)Last imp message Zoom allows one session of 30 minutes, so the first session ends
after 30 min, we can start next session just with a gap of 1 or 2 min. So you can join
the next session just by clicking same link

Characteristics of Living things

4. Growth and Development – Living things become larger and/or more complicated
as they grow.

5. Responsiveness – Living things react to changes around them.


6. Reproduction – All living things produce young.
7. Excretion – All living things need to remove waste from their bodies.
8. Adaptation – Develop certain characteristics that helps a living organism survive in its
environment

9. Cellular Structure – All living organisms are made up of cells

• Plants and animals learn to survive and
reproduce in its environment.
– Birds – Woodpecker, Duck
– Animals – Camel, Polar bear
Cellular Structure
• The structural and functional unit of a living

Similarity between Living and nonliving

• Made up of matter
• Have mass, occupy space and have shape
• Made up of structural units
Do some nonliving things appear like living
things?
Some nonliving things may show some characteristics
of living things but are they really living?
 A snowball may increase in size due to the accumulation of
smaller units of its own to its outer surface.
 A rock may roll down a hill (moves) but it isn’t living

Examples – Metal, Plastic
