Comments
1. Ignite India Jan-Mar Jury certification at 41% of all starts (excluding 127 carry forwards from Q4 2021. 219/530). Due to:
a. RMs focus shifted from Students Ignite to Startup Ignite; NEN management also took their eyes off NEN certifications.
b. D2S Ignites from Incubators/State startup missions had very high quality M4 submissions (95% conversion from NEN to Jury)
c. Overall expectation from Jury increased due to #a above
2. Plan to catch up
a. Updated template, golden deck and RM checklist created, increased focus to convert maximum from Apr-Sept Starts (1720)
b. Projecting to meet Ignite Jury certification numbers both in SEA and India.
c. Rajeev / Sonali will review all NEN certifications; Sanjay will review samples
3. D2S Ignite from incubators/state startup missions now separated to Liftoff 1. Their M4 will be reviewed by new Jury/Investor.
Ankit/Deepak will connect them to Incubators and Grant agencies
4. Commercial startups with traction in revenue and customers now tracked under Liftoff 2. Paid lead consultants being on boarded to
conduct these cohorts (see slide 3)
5. Mentor engagement across Ignite and Liftoff 1 and 2 increased.
6. We have to finalize the Liftoff Certification criteria at the earliest. If revenue/customer increase at 25%, we will not meet the targets.
Funding goal in Liftoff 1 will be met. Liftoff 2 we are yet to see success at scale.

Liftoff 2 '22 | Sourcing Improvements
Beneficiary: Start-ups that are at early traction (revenue/customers/grants) – These would be carefully selected with investible ideas and have achieved Product Market Fit (PMF), have a
sustainable business model (differentiated, innovative and scalable), early revenues/customers, a good founding team (Coachable, Street Smart) and may have raised initial grants.
Outcome from Liftoff 2: 1) Increase in Sales/Revenues/Customers 2) Business Model Innovation (PMF, GTM, Unit Economics, Team and Growth) 2) Commercial Investor Pitch ready 3)
Commercial Investor Access/Funding (> $50K) 4) Build talent and team 5) Interact, learn and develop through a community of startups
(It takes over 2 quarters, after the start of Liftoff for startups to gain traction in #customers, #users or revenue.)
What we can provide: Self served structured program covering all elements of Investible Pitch. Liftoff 2 program takes them thought 12 critical success elements for startups through case
studies, fire side chats with promoters of the startups cases are written on, concept notes, master classes and solution kits resulting in four investor pitch milestones.
 Help them set the goals for getting them for sustainable growth and commercialization
 Help them connect with paid Consultants, mentors and domain experts, who can help them with specific issues, challenges and gaps.
 Get them to demo day with Investors
Where can we find such startups:
 Top tier 1 and 2 Incubators/Accelerators and State Startup Missions (IIM Nagpur, IIM U, B-Next, B.Incube, iStart, i-Hub, StartinUP, TiE Network)
 WE Acceleration Program (our internal joint marketing efforts “call for applications” through social media and promotion on platforms such as Yourstory, Tracxn and F6S)
 Liaise with Angel Networks to provide us with startups that failed to raise funding due to disinterest or unavailability of a lead investor that is interested in the space or the
startup is weak at one or more BMV elements or founder group is not impressive (IAN, FAAD, Ah! Ventures, Antennae Ventures)
Support System: (WE India team does not have the ability to effect business growth in all the different domains startups come from. Pro-bono mentors need constant follow-up to engage
with startups)
 Paid consultants to anchor the program and hand-hold startups
 Experienced Mentors and Experts to connect with each startups
 Access to Investors through regular demo days

Plans for current cohorts: (Target to get 100 startups to complete the Journey):
 Continue tracking #customers, #users and revenue beyond the completion of the program
 Provide access to Investors and get eligible startups to pitch to multiple investors
 Build relationship with paid mentors and consultants in specific functional areas and business domains so that they can engage with startups on a paid basis with clear result
delivery.
