Session 3 Objectives:
Feminism Decoded
1. Decode key concepts, values and principles – Feminism,
Patriarchy and Power, Transformative Feminist Leadership, etc

2. Develop appreciation of key Feminist Principles and Values.

3. Develop grounding on Feminism and Power Analysis.

Session 4 Objectives:
Feminism in the African Context
1.Develop appreciation of the African Feminist
Principles and Values.

2.Contextualize feminism to the rights and lives of


African girls and women.

3.Deepen appreciation of African Feminism and the


Charter of Feminist Principles for African Feminists.

Session 5 Objectives:
Transformative Feminist Leadership
1. Contextualize feminism to the realities and work of WVL partners,
Women Leaders, Women’s Rights Organisations, Feminist Leaders and
Gender Practitioners in Kenya.

2. Develop grounding on how to infuse Feminist Leadership and its


practical application at individual, organisational and collective levels.

3. Reflect on what it means to work towards Feminism, Be a Feminist


Organisation, Espouse Feminist Principles/Values and Implement
Feminist Policies and Programmes.

Session 6 Objectives:
Intersectionality Framework
1.Deconstruct the relation between systems of oppression which
construct our multiple identities and our social locations in
hierarchies of power and privilege.

2.Define the intersections and interconnectedness of identities


(such as race, gender, sex, ethnicity, sexuality, class, ability, etc)
and explore how the various identities combine to create
different modes of discrimination and privilege.

3.Strategise how the Intersectionality Framework and Analysis


should inform WVL Partners and WROs moving foward.
