“Anyone can deal with victory. Only
the mighty can bear defeat”
Adolf Hitler
- Adolf Hitler was an Austrian-born German
politician who was the dictator of Germany
from 1933 to 1945. He rose to power as the
leader of the Nazi Party, becoming the
chancellor in 1933 and then assuming the title
of Führer und Reichskanzler in 1934.
Nelson Mandela
- Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was a South African
anti-apartheid revolutionary, statesman and
philanthropist who served as the first president of
South Africa from 1994 to 1999. He was the
country's first black head of state and the first
elected in a fully representative democratic
election.
1. Analyze which parts of their lives,
from their childhood to their
adulthood, affected their moral
characters most?
His violent father, rejections, and hardships as a
child were the underlying causes of his mental
illness. Furthermore, his desire for power,
fascination with violence that Hitler believed
would benefit the German people, dominance
over countries, and hatred of Jews all influenced
his moral character, making him nasty. Because
of the core factors that influenced his moral
character, he was eager to attain his goals
without regard for other people, even if they
would be wounded or even die in the process.
In the time of Adolf Hitler his moral character
affected the most when he is on teenage year
where he has rejected twice on entering the
School of Architecture in Vienna and the death of
her mother. Hilter's father abused him, beating
him, taunting him, and yelling at him. His father
had a mostly useless job, but he considered it to
be exceptional. His father died when he was
young as well, leaving his family impoverished.
He admired his mother, but she was largely gentle
and didn't give him much in the way of discipline.
When she died, he was devastated and rendered
homeless in every manner. In many respects.
Hitler went on to become the worst dictator in
history, but he was still able to carry out his goals
and accomplish what he set out to do. He then
ruled most of the countries and murdered a large
number of Jews. Being someone who came from
nothing, was beaten by his abusive father, and
had a bad upbringing, he went on to become the
most powerful dictator in the world, controlling
countries and their people. It was very iconic that
despite the bad things he does, there are still a lot
of people on his side, supporting him and his side.
Nelson Mandela's moral character was shaped by
his experiences of racial injustice and the killing
of 69 unarmed persons by police who opened fire
on black demonstrators, which inspired Mandela
to strive for equality. He raised his voice as the
voice of all black people for white equality
because of his love for his country and his
compatriots. He was 25 when studying the law
and where he was faced racism. Because of his
principles, freedom, justice and equality became
visible to South African people and until now the
white and black have equality.
2. What are the differences between
Nelson Mandela and Adolf Hitler’s
actions despite their almost similar
motivations and nationalism and
patriotism?
Unlike Hitler, who was widely considered to have led for his
own joy or fulfillment, Nelson Mandela became a leader
because of his ideals and dissatisfaction with the life he was
forced to live as a result of his skin color. Hitler led his people
with violence and brutality, while Mandela disliked violence
and conflict, thus he promoted freedom and equality. Unlike
Hitler, who was driven by a desire for power, Mandela was
willing to lay down his life for the benefit of his people. Racism
is the difference between the two. Because he solely thinks
about Germany's perfection, and the devil is the Jews, Adolf
Hitler is likely the world's most racist individual. While Nelson
Mandela stands in the black community, he wants to end the
racial segregation that benefits the whites and make it a level
playing field for black and white people.
“Life is like a game, there could be
many players. If you don’t play with
them, they’ll play with you.”
